Flight ID of European Seabirds must be worth considering, though it is on the pricey side for what you actually get.

My thoughts exactly Stephen, I borrowed this from the local library rather than purchase it for that very reason.

Thank you both for your suggestion, I have just ordered it from Amazon,they say you get what you pay for
I am still using my Shell guide to birds I bought over 25 years ago held together with tape, but still the best I have seen to date,but I will get the new FREE - Collins Bird Guide - Second Edition with my new binoculars so we will see.
