help to identify please

saw this bird on a path beside an estuary in southern england. Can anyone help please ? Its got me stumped !!

Thanks guys. Is it a female reed bunting or a juvenile ? It looked a bit skinny !!

I reckon the skinny look is because it was a hot day - which looks likely from the contrast in the picture.
