A Weird Sort of Common Scops-owl Call (1 Viewer)

Hi.
I heard two scops-owls calling this evening after sunset (Israel - most of these owls have already left for winter, as I understand), but one call was very high pitched, none like I heard before.
Could the explanation be that it was a juvenile calling? Anything else?

I should have recorded it, but couldn't at the moment I passed by it.

Thanks in advance.
