Don't Worry, Be Happy!
I was suprised to see these at the Fujinon booth at the Camera & Photo Imaging expo today. Seems to be China-made and of average quality. Nothing new here so let's move along.8-P

That is interesting Rick. Though I'm sure you're probably right that there's nothing new to see here, if I DID wind up buying ED ChinBins, I'd somehow feel better with them having a Fujinon logo on them.

Irrational, I know 8-P

Kevin, all just common glass I'm afraid. Nothing outstanding in the spec sheets. Avg FoV, eyerlief, weight and size. Amazingly, the 8x/10x24mm series in the 3rd pic is NOT phase coated if you can believe it. Only one I thought might be interesting was a 7x28mm IF not shown. But that turned out NOT to be phase coated as well!

I don't think they're the same enclosure, Steve. The upper "bridge" is futher down the barrels than any of the other Chinese open-bridge I've seen.

Oh dang the uncoolness of Fujinon binoculars. How the FMT-SX ever came to be, I'll never know, but I'm hanging onto my 7x50.

I guess we can be thankful for the fishing industry (or was it the military) for giving us the market that spawned the FMT-SX series. And like you say, Ron, what a series it is.
