Optics buying assistance (1 Viewer)

Howdy Folks!

Joined this forum in hopes to get some sound advice from regular binocular users for my first pair of binoculars. I am posting the thread under the Nikon optics section, and I'm seeking advice and costs-benefit analysis between the Nikon Premier 10x42, Swarovision 10x42 and the Minox HG 10x52

Please feel free to throw in your two cents. This is quite a large purchase for a student, but it's about time I go hiking to some of Arizona's highest and magnificent peaks with a decent set of eyes.

Cheers

Steve

I would suggest you go with what we call Chinese ED glass at first. If you still want a Top 3 brands, you can sell them, but at least you know if you want 10x.

I have birded 7 years, and am still undecided! I have both 10x and and 8x, last order was a 8x.

Brands: Zen Ray, Promaster, Bushnell Ultra Legend. Start with the ZR forum here.
