Software to crop videos? (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I have some videos of birds and primates a little far away. That means there is a lot of green in the image and a small animal in the centre. Now I want to crop the video, to cut out the boring parts and have the animal bigger, just as I would crop a photo. Is that possible at all? Is there any free software that can do this?
Thanks!

I've not tried it but this comes recommended http://www.shotcut.org/bin/view/Shotcut/WebHome

It is easy to crop a video if the subject stays in the same place, you just discard the stuff outside a certain box. The trouble lies if the shot moves about you need to track the crop frame with the subject that is a lot more tricky.

Best of luck

Hi, thanks a lot! I'll try that! I'll be happy with croping out a fixed box, no need yet for more complicated editing.
I'll post a link if it works. Nice Red-shanked Douc Langurs.
