Looking back at older photos, I found these of a hawk I could never ID. They were taken in 4/08 in San Antonio. Not the best pics on a cloudy day. Thanks for any help.

Hi camallard,

I'm sure I'll get corrected on this but, it seems to be a broad-winged hawk.

The brown head with the large brown spot on the chest, dissipating while they move away from the head. Pale underwings with the black border, and the thick black and white stripes on the tail all point to that species.
