Greater Canada spp, Dumfries Scotland (1 Viewer)

This bird has a chin strap, very dark in field. About the size of a Pink-footed goose so others have said, maybe size and bit of barnacle. I was wondering Parv as well, but im not sure on this one as yet. There are more video clips.

The bill is quite long, and there is a nice sloping from top of head down forehead to bill, top of head looked rather flat. Short necks, looked think when up straight when alerted. I do wonder i the bill length is too much for a Taverner's

I might be missing the point but if an apparently wild Canada Goose cannot be resolved between, say, interior and parvipes, then it could still be accepted as Greater Canada Goose couldn't it.

I haven't been in work today but I haven't heard if it has. Will be intonirrow and have a look again.

Stephen, I guess yes it could still be submitted as a greater.
