Cornwall Birding (2 Viewers)

Common Crane flew south over Nanjizal Valley this morning, plus male Desert Wheatear still, 7+ Lapland Bunting, 1 Short-Eared Owl (photo) and 1 Chough.
Long-Tailed Duck, Sennen Cove still this afternoon (photo)

Very quiet for the WeBS count -

Sparrowhawk drifted across the lake.

Just down the road between the reserve and the Old Shire Inn a Woodcock ran across the road into the hedgerow.
 
This afternoon/evening at Rosenannon, the following were noted;
Tawny Owl - 2
Sparrowhawk - 1
Meadow Pipit - 136 roosted
Reed Bunting - 7 roosted
Fieldfare - 118 roosted
Siskin - 1 flew over west.

No harriers or Short-eared Owls.

A Black-headed Gull at Par Beach Pool on Saturday 3rd December with a white darvic ring with the legend VPP was ringed in Copenhagen as an adult female on Mar 26th 2008. This is the first time it has been recorded outside of Denmark.
