Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 Review (1 Viewer)

Nothing wrong with an FZ45, I was very happy with mine until I dropped it.:eek!:

I think the FZ45 is a great camera (I'm actually quite surprised at just how good it is), but my FZ28 broke last week, so I had to get a new camera. I would have probably waited for the FZ150, had I known then what I know now.

Still, they'll be something better still soon, there always is;)

A quick mention is that pressing the "q menu" button in spite of it not having a burst setting legend will still give you access to a perfectly useable 5 fps burst menu.

I thought myself that there were a lot of mistakes in the review referring to previous and different models. I thought it was typo mistakes but not so sure now. I suppose it will take a few weeks for better reviews to filter through. Ger.

Here's, what looks like, a more accurate review. The other one I posted looks suspiciously like it was made up.

I don't think it was made up, but they may have taken several shortcuts.

Meanwhile, it has become clear that those early reviews were done with a firmware that was not optimized. dpreview has published some samples showing the difference between the (too) early software and what is now apparently the updated one for the production: http://www.dpreview.com/news/1109/11090825panasonicfz150.asp

I think there is quite a difference for jpeg pictures. But I may just stick to my FZ35, though some video improvements would be great. I have yet to see detailed video reviews. My present camera has problems showing smooth movements like of a train or car passing by.
