Marbled Newt (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

I was in the Serra Da Estrela NP in Portugal last October and at just under 1700m in a fast flowing mountain spring I found a Marbled Newt. I presume it is Triturus marmoratus marmoratus (Northern) and not T. m. pygmaeus (southern/pygmy)? Any thoughts appreciated.

Cracking creature.
