An hour in South Norwood CP (1 Viewer)

To get into the families good books I agreed to take the kids (Daniel 5 (mine), Emma 4 (mine) and Thomas 3 (nephew)) out for an hour. I took them to South Norwood CP and given the company I didn't even take my bins, but we had a wonderful time watching:-
- A pair of Common Terns mobbing a pair of Grey Herons over the lake
- The Common Terns fishing
- At least 4 kestrals, 1 of which decided to hunt right in front of us for five minutes (just about our attention span)
- Sparrowhawk
- Tufted duck + juv
- Mallard + juv
- Coot + juv.
- Moorhen
- Carrion Crow
- Dunnock
- Robin
- Canada Geese (of course)
- Reed Warbler (I think that was what I heard)

Oh yeah and a turtle climbed onto a rock in the middle of the lake!

Isn't nature great!

Paul
