Possibly Ashy-headed Tyrannulet, or a Bristle-Tyrant ? Taken on eastern slope at San Isidro, Napo province, Ecuador at about 1500 m, March.

I agree on Ashy-headed Tyrannulet. I don't have my book in front of me but I remember getting good looks at these guys at San Isidro this year.
 
Thanks James and Ovenbird (and Pat). I did take a pic identified as Ashy-headed on another occasion at San Isidro - can you confirm this too please. Thanks.

i'm by no means an expert - just going on gut feeling really
but it looks like the same bird, just turned around!
(so yers, ashy-headed tyrannulet)
