Spring Bird Banding in St. Joseph, Missouri (1 Viewer)

We have begun our annual Spring Bird Banding here in Saint Joseph, Missouri. We have two locations both are in the vicinity of Missouri Western State University Campus. I generally am at the lower, creek site. The other is on higher ground in a wooded area near by. So far (on our site) we have been catching/banding various sparrows, Swamp, Song, White-throated. Other birds have been American Robin, Brown Thrasher and Carolina Wren. Things should pick up as we get further into the Spring season.
Yesterday they caught and banded a Sharp-shinned Hawk at the upper site.
