OLD..BOLD..AND PAST THE USE BY DATE
A seriously cropped photo of a Small Tortoiseshell with (a moth?) to it's right in our garden in N Lanc's last summer.

It does indeed and I appreciate your response very much.

Since your ID, research tells me, apparently difficult to seperate from the more common Pyrausta aurata unless captured and examined in the hand.

Problem for me now, is that the issue is even more confused, but much appreciated, and many thanks.
