I just went on a quick 20 minute birding expedition to my backyard before having to get ready for work. Mostly robins, since it's rained a lot today. But I caught this fellow's picture just before having to run in. Right now I'm running late to work, so I don't have time to ID this fellow. Might bring my guidebook in my purse! Anyway, wanted to know who he is. Pics aren't fantastic, but might be enough to ID him.

It would be most likely that this is the yellow shafted race of the Northern Flicker, since the photo was taken in the east.
