My Yearly List (1 Viewer)

I have never made a yearly list before but I will do so this year. I live in East Lancashire and have seen all breeding birds of Lancashire barring Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Hawfinch, Quail and Honey Buzzards - if the later breed in Lancashire.

I am not a twitcher unless if anything turns up locally. I will not go out of my way to add birds to my yearly list. I tend to visit favoured areas and add some new reserves in there. I may make some trips abroad too!

British birds which are either regular passage migrants or breeders I hope to add to my life list this year:-

1. Black Grouse
2. Long-Tailed Skua
3. Pomarine Skua
4. Lesser Spotted Woodpecker

I am hoping for at least 200-250 birds this year - closer to 250. That is a mission statement of sorts!

The 'Great Grey Shrike' you saw in Tunisia is Southern Grey Shrike now, the Black Grouse at World's End / Ruabon Moor are showing really well and a trip to Moore NR, on the Mersey, should give you Lesser Spotted Woodpecker. Good luck.
