Willow warblers (1 Viewer)

The last few weeks have been quiet on my patch birdsong wise, but while out walking the dog this morning, the bog land areas of the patch were alive with singing willow warblers, singing at full pelt and volume. You would have thought it was spring.
I know many warblers are quiet now or just uttering sub songs, but I have never heard willow warblers being so vocal at this end of the summer. I wonder if many were young birds exercising their vocal chords?

Dunno, but they sing their little hearts out on the wintering grounds in Africa as well.

Willow Warblers just want to siinnngg...
