Conquest HD & SLC 15x56s A Review (2 Viewers)

I just read this interesting review from outdoor life. They rated the Nikon 16x56 higher than the zeiss conquest hd 15x56. The Nikons have a very narrow field of view (though a bit of that is probably due to the extra mag). Has anyone else compared the nikons against the zeiss? I want a pair of 15x56 but still not sure which ones to get.

I can't comment on the Zeiss HD x56 but I recently played off the Nikon Monarch X 8.5x45 (a non-ED glass bin) against the Zeiss Conquest HD 8x42 and kept the Nikon for a number of reasons (mostly ergonomic). Looking at them optically and overall (in my world) there was virtually nothing between them, six of one / half a dozen of another. You could make a minor, and I do mean minor, hairsplitting play on a handful of factors on each unit but a dime against a dollar you wouldn't see it the way I do. In addition I own an NM5 ED 8x56, bought before the Zeiss Conquest HD 8x56 was launched, and see no reason to trade it out in a straight line at twice the price.
