Hi Ben
That is quite a hefty bill. If a Common Crossbill, it would surely be toward the large end of the bill size range, they do vary. It would be useful to see different angles of the head, some more photos may be helpful if you have any. Excellent pic btw, where was it taken?

Bill size is sufficient for it to go down as a Parrot I reckon, although I am bo means an authority on these matters.
