Head up moth recorders.
There may not be a lot of moths about at present, but a very good capture was made By Jim Parrack one of the Northumberland County Recorders on the morning of the 17th. April 2007 in his garden at Seaton Sluice, a coastal village in SE Northumberland.
The moth has been identified as a Conformist Lithophane furcifera furcifera. No.2238. This is the first British record for over 50 years. This specimen is of the continental race furcifera. From the photograph (attached) it looks to be in perfect condition, The ID has been verified.
