i have just booked my self a place on a volunteering trip to Uganda with http://www.possibilities.org.uk with a safari at the end and i cant Waite any tips on bird books and things i may need :t:
"Where to Watch Birds in Uganda" by Jonathan Roussouw and Marco Sacchi definitely recommended. I used "Birds of Africa South of the Sahara" by Ian Sinclair and Peter Ryan--more than you need for Uganda, but helps put things into context. Malarone, DEET, sunblock, lightweight clothes, good walking boots, hat, and a torch should do it...! Cheers, Jon.
I'm not going to Uganda now as the air lines put the price up more than twice as much and the guy who runs the hole thing cant afford it so it been put off till 2013 and i was gutted was so looking forward to it
