Spring is in the Air 2 (1 Viewer)

I heard my first chiffchaff of the year giving it what for on the Thames Towpath yesterday just outside Ashton Keynes. It must have been an over-wintering bird but 2nd March to be singing is a record for me.

I'll keep my ears peeled for Chiffchaffs now, simontucker.

Although not a birding Spring sign, me and my good lady saw (for the first time ever) boxing hares (4 thereof) last Tues. 25th Feb

I used to see hares from the window of the train as I used to commute between Swindon and London - but I don't do that route any more.

Great to see them boxing isn't it? I used to really enjoy watching them. Now that you have mentioned it - I know a spot where they are found, I must go see again.

Another sign of spring is that my Carolina Chickadee's are building a huge nest in one of my Bluebird Boxes:king:

I've never had Chickadees nest in my boxes so maybe this will be a record breaking year!!!:t: :king:
