At the moment we are only monitoring the outside of Box 1 via a camcorder, through a double glazed window, so the picture is very poor. (I'm hoping that Malcolm will attach a miniature video camera to our scope tomorrow). The camera inside the box just caught a picture of a beak - any suggestions about the bird?

Sorry, no suggestions about the bird EB, but well done on getting some more interest. Is this the same box that had the visit from the Wren?

Yes, the same box - no return visit from the wren, unfortunately. The other box (Box 2) has been cleaned out, so it is quite without any "soft furnishings".

I'd guess at Great Tit from the size of the tail and the beak, but that's more using imagination than what I can tell from the photo ;)
