Need help to ID this PLOVER. (1 Viewer)

This is the same bird and juvenile. For my ID at first it is a LESSESR SAND PLOVER. But now not so sure and it could be a GREATER SAND PLOVER. Can any body help to confirm either it is a LESSER or GREATER SAND PLOVER.

I think there´s some mud on the bill tip - which makes it look more swollen than it really is. If that is the case and with such a long looking bill (although not in a profile view) and long greenish legs (tibia = above the knee), to me it looks like a Greater Sandplover.

Agree with JanJ that this is a Greater Sand Plover, mainly on bill length. Lessers also tend to carry themselves slightly more upright than the horizontal Greaters, although thats probably best thought of as a supporting rather than diagnostic feature.

http://www.lincsbirdclub.co.uk/rare_birds/sandplover.htm has a quick run down of the features of a Lesser SandPlover (not Mongolian) against Greater.
