Do these species use nestboxes?... (1 Viewer)

OK thanks elizabeth - but i read somewhere that wagtails readily use nestboxes, something i had never heard before.

I have never seen a wagtail in our garden, in 14 years of living here, though very occasionally I have seen one in the road. They used to be fairly common outside the small shopping centre I regularly use - but I have not seen any there recently.

Well my housing estate is four years old. for a while birds were nowhere except for the copse outside our house. they are now everywhere. wagtails wouldn't come around here, but came to the road with fully grown young not far from my house this year. first time since the place was built! they have now discovered our drive and even the garden! saw one singing on garage a few days ago. It's strange though as I have now seen it feeding in neighbouring gardens, but not ours!
