Going to Islay or visiting Argyll? (1 Viewer)

We have just been on our 20th visit to Islay and on this visit and the previous one we stayed at a hotel that we only discovered recently and we would like to recommend. It is so convenient for the Islay ferry whether you are on your outward or homeward journey as it is situated only 25 miles or 3/4 of an hour from Kennacraig where the ferry docks. It is also nicely placed for a visit to Argyll and this spring we had an enjoyable walk from the hotel down to the loch (it is a sea loch) with loads of warblers and a Corncrake calling on the way.

We have no connection with the hotel only as satisfied visitors. The staff are welcoming, the food and beer is good (they have a great selection of whiskies too) the rooms are comfortable and the prices are reasonable.
