This one should be fairly easy. But why is the cheek not warmer colored (unless it is a poor laptop screen to blame) and why is the white on the tail so strong near the base?

This one was at the Yellow House trails just above Mindo, in an area with cow pastures but not too far from the forest.

It had an interesting behavior, almost like a breeding lapwing in Europe: when flushed, it initially looked wounded and very poorly flying. The further we got from the original flushing location, the better it flew, and the bigger distance it gave itself for each iteration , until it finally disappeared completely.
