Looks like a Reticulated Python, but I'm NOT an expert....

However, a quick look through Wikipedia says Reticuated is SE Asia, so this is probably a Rock Python....

Or as we normal folks say, Puff Adder? Nice pic. Hope you didn't get too close taking it!

Yes, Puff Adder for sure. Although highly venomous they can be pretty docile (at least until stepped on). I've found them under refuga and nearly stepped on others and never experienced any aggressive behavour. Having said that one bite is all it would take...

i was inside a safari jeep when i took this photo so i was pretty safe :)
anyway, he was moving towards a group of starlings that was standing on a low tree a meter away from him

in the photo you see one starling warning the others :)
