Australia Top End -- Part 2 (1 Viewer)

Here are some more birds from Australia's Top End. The last is a kite. However, my book does not show this sort of speckling for either the black or whistling kites which are the two most common there. Perhaps it's a juvenile?

Thanks again,
Scott

Juvenile Whistling Kite looks good for the last one, and for two my immediate impression is Varied Triller. However, wait for confirmation.

For all your threads, a more precise location for each picture might help!

Surely picture one is a Grey Whistler - no contrast between wing coverts/flight feathers and mantle and back; no hint of yellow in the undertail / vent area and faintest hint of an eyebrow.
That said me and photo IDs don't usually mix so could be completely wrong here!

Yeah, that looks better at a more reasonable time of day! ;) Grey Whistler ssp simplex it is....known as Brown Whistler too isn't it?
