Sorry, all wrong. I do notice that my photos tend to make birds look a little weird, but thats just due to the angle.

Just the angle eh? Nothing to do with that sneaky phalarope holding its wings up, making it look bigger? Pretend those wings aren't there and you have a might large peep on the left relative to the phalarope. And when they face you, their super-long wings are hidden and make them look like a harmless Semi.

I've caught you, White-rumped Sandpiper! Come out of that pond with your wings behind your back! You too Wilson's Phalarope and Short-billed Dowitcher!!!
