Dowitcher, or something? From Pennsylvania (1 Viewer)

It was in an island of mud in the middle of a pond beside a lake (in western PA). I was thinking at first dowitcher, but i dunno with the color of the neck. Thanks.

It's a fuzzy photo, but my gut reaction is Wilson's Snipe? It has a long straight black bill, a dark stripe through the eye, and a dark lateral crown stripe.

Wilson's snipe was what I thought too.

There is some kind of pattern on the head, one should be able to make out which it is, with some work.

Shaped like a dowitcher indeed, but that head pattern is perfect for Wilson's Snipe.
