Two beetles in Spain (Alicante region) (1 Viewer)

After another Easter trip to Spain, I have come back with a couple more photos of insects for identification.

The first is of the very common burrowing beetles found on the beaches, mostly in the dunes. I think they are darkling beetles, but would love confirmation, and also any views on specific ID.

The second beetle was an example of a "buff-tailed" (flying) beetle seen occasionally in a few locations, including this one on the beach (but I had one land on me out on my bike in farmland a couple of times).
