I don't know how you dare start a painting with such a complicated background as that but I don't doubt that you can make a great job of it! Can't wait to see how this turns out, it's a beautiful kingfisher, and a more unusual pose which is good to see.

Chris. if you see the pic. in your minds eye just go for it, you will be surprised what you can achieve.
Starting to bring the background in but will be away for a few days .
