Not sure if this is the right place to post this, so apologies if its not.
I have been thinking about turning the front garden into a wildlife garden. Its quite a large area and at present extremely overgrown. It has several trees and bushes ( which the birds are already using ), so I would keep them, but the rest could go. We also have a hedgehog who visits daily for dinner. I've looked at numerous images of wildlife gardens and that just confuses me more - lol! I'm not much of a gardener and have absolutely no idea where to start. Realistically I would have to get someone in to do most of the preparation work and planting, etc. Probably need a rotavator or something to clear it first.
There is only about 1-2 inches of soil out front before the bedrock is reached, so putting in a pond would be difficult. Also, the garden fronts onto a lane, which does get busy at times. Would this be a problem ? Any advice would be appreciated. Thnx.
