Hi everyone, I'm Ilaria Fozzi and I work in the wildlife observatory of Asinara National Park in Sardinia. Registration is now open for the first course of Nature Drawing for Beginners that will be held from 23 to 26 August 2012 in the Wildlife Observatory of Asinara National Park . The residential course will be taught by Mara Papa, a young student of Master in Management and Conservation of Wildlife, graduated from the Art School and graduated in Veterinary Biotechnology; Mara held drawing classes for people of all ages, worked with various organizations to teach the art of painting to children and has a great passion for naturalistic drawing.

The course is conducted through classroom lectures and field trips.

Main topics:

- Flora and fauna of Asinara island;
- Technical drawing (copying: Using the grid, the study of proportions);
- A copy of subject: leaves, flowers, shells, feathers;
- Artistic techniques:crayon and watercolor;
- The light and shade;
- The shadows;
- On the field: drawing Asinara flora (landscapes, flowers);
- Animals: a copy of a photograph or drawing;
- Birds: feathers, details, birds of prey;
- The movement: the sketch of the animal in motion.

The course costs 250 euro and includes:

- Internal transfers;
- Meals and lodging;
- Drawing equipment.
