Zimbabwe hawk/eagle (1 Viewer)

I'm having some trouble with another shot from Zimbabwe from March. Really can't find anything that seems to match.

It looks like a Hawk eagle to me. The light-brown coverts, long white bars on the underwing and tail pattern (two narrower bands and broad terminal band) seem to point to Crowned Hawk Eagle, but I'm no expert.

look at these very long tarsi, it's a juvenile African Harrier-hawk

Yes, quite right - I didn't notice them. The bird reminded me somewhat of one of the Asian Hawk Eagles somehow - I got fixated on the long fingers and the rather scale-like effect caused by multiple barring on the flight feathers. By the way, Cinereous, the bird in the image isn't actually as dark as it appears.

I think I should leave African birds to those with more experience! |:$|
