Swift 929G Ultra Lite Mossy Oak Camo??? (1 Viewer)

Got this from a Michelle Wilson sales person at Swift

"Hi Jim
I have not seen those with camo paint before. They look really cool.
We have not issued them to Mossy Oak.
Please let me know if you have any further questions
."

I posted back.....
"How would that have happened?
They are molded in this color it wasn't added.
They are plainly marked Swift Ultra Lite Waterproof Model 929G
Pattern on binoculars ia marked with Mossy Oak and their logo.
Could they be a proto type or a one time promotional?

This is really Odd!

Jim "

I'll keep ya informed......this is very perplexing.
I notice that Bushnell makes a very similar Bino in Mossy Oak.
But these are plainly marked as I said.

I am not sure of the process utilized to apply camo to the rubber of sport optics. Is it possible it was applied "after market"? I know you mentioned that it doesn't appear that way but based on my experiences with other camo products it can be difficult to determine if it was an after-market application.

I recall some discussion here about the company, which is located in Lakewood, CO, being sold a while back but I can't locate it. That being the case there is possibility that these Mossy Oaks were issued a number of years ago.

Eagle Optics hasn't listed any Swift Ultralite binoculars in years and only has 4 binoculars listed now:

http://www.eagleoptics.com/binoculars/swift

The Swift website, which is dated 2011, lists a 929 8x42 Ultra binocular and a 930 Ultra 10 x 42. See their website here:

Also got this from Swift

"We are not sure if this was part of the line before 2006 when the company was
bought by new owners, but we have never seen any with Mossy Oak coloring.
"

Frank D:

This is defiantly molded into the rubber these were made from.
Not a decal or anything like that...very very odd.
Somewhere someone when to a lotta trouble to make these as a promotional item or something.
There had to be a licensing agreement between Mossy Oak and Swift to do this I'm sure.

Oh yes there is no disputing that they sell this model even today.
Just not reference anywhere that they were ever available in camo like this
