I decided to take our dog out for a wander around a local country park. This park is on the site of an old land fill but has been restored and has a number of marked trails to walk. http://oldwaynesborough.org/
During the walk, I got to see (at a distance) Cardinals and Mocking Birds. I had my binoculars with me but the dog will just NOT walk nicely and so I have her on a lead so am using binoculars one handed and keep getting pulled as doggie reaches the end of her allotted lead length. Remind me to go alone next time!! LOL
Anyway, during the walk, I took time to sit on a bench and just rest (it was over a two mile walk), and I noticed some rather large birds circling overhead. It turned out that they were Turkey Vultures, about 7 of them. In January, I reached the ripe old age of 66, but that cannot be reason enough for the vultures to start circling over me when I sit down!! LOL
