Busy busy blackbirds ! (1 Viewer)

Well it must be around 2-3 weeks since the first lot of blackbirds hatched..
Now the female is back nesting and I presume it is the male who is educating three young ones on how to peck at the pieces of apple I have left on the lawn..

It is a most enchanting sight..they sort of line up like they are at school...!!!!..and watch very attentively.. :clap:

The babies are all looking very healthy and quite fat...they are all med..brown..
Dont suppose you can tell which are males or females yet..as I suppose that it takes a while for the males to darken???

This place where I live is extraordinary..the 'dawn chorus' here is almost deafening...!
Thanks to a huge number of different trees all around and no cats..(well none that can catch birds )!
