The second of two great birding sights today.

This young red tailed hawk was ecstatic over it's capture of what appeared to be a cedar waxwing, a beautiful bird in its own right.
Mom and dad were circling overhead watching the feast, as was I from below.
Not a lot that is man-made around here, but this power pole served as the dinner table.


These quick shots can be a real challenge. With all of the screeching and excitement, a video would have been excellent.
Taken with Leica televid 65mm 25-50 with Iphone 6 and phonescope.
