Juvenile Hawk - SE United States (1 Viewer)

Captured this juvenile hawk at a refuge in Georgia (southeastern United States) last week, really struggling to identify. As always the help is appreciated!

That is a red-shouldered hawk, you can see the reddish tinting right on the shoulder area. (not sure if it is a juv. because I'm fairly new to this myself, but it looks like it is close... if not already an adult, but I'm sure some of the experts will be around shortly!!)

when I wrote the "experts would be along" I figured it'd be alex coming hah, I thought it was an adult also, but I don't wanna mislead anyone if I wrong with my novice input ;)
 
Thanks so much for the help. I guess that I was just unsure because "Mom" was around "raising heck" and protecting this one. Led me to think it was a young one.
