On the grounds that easily overlooked stuff is sometimes interesting ...

This looked to me a bit like Blastobasis adustella, but it's only half the size -- forewing length 5 or 6mm. Very flat bodied and sat slightly head-up.

Anyone put me out of my misery?

I think you have the correct id - just a small specimen. I get lots around this size, and the same with Tachtstola acroxantha. It's what a colleague used to call 'starvelings'. Quite normal, especially at this time of year.
