Little Hermit / Stripe-throated Hermit (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Phaethornis longuemareus has been split into P. striigularis (Stripe-throated Hermit) and P. longuemareus (Little Hermit) following AOU. Which of the two species is the common resident (Caribbean & S. Pacific slope) of Costa Rica?

Thanks,

Joren van Schie (Netherlands)

Go to Avibase, click checklists, and go to Costa Rica. A search for Hermit will tell you that Stripe-throated is on the list, but Little is not.

Cheers
Niels
