RE Birder

Birding not twitching
Just wondering what this tripods like? I see if you subscribe to Birdwatch magazine they giving this away free. My main question is this suitable as a lightweight tripod for a scope. I have a Manfrotto already but wondered if this may be suitable as a more lightweight alternative?

Cheers

I think that is your answer. I have a 660 and quite honestly say it's a chocolate teapot. It is very difficult to 'fix' on a given position - you sort of overstretch it and then it springs back to the right place. If the wind blows leave the scope at home.

Anyone I know with a lightweight scope regret it in most aspects except the walk in! Unless your walking to blakeney heavier the better.....
