Hi,
Is this the "Audubon's" form of the Yellow rumped Warbler?
From June 2009 in British Columbia Canada.
Are Audubon's and Myrtle forms treated as separate subspecies or just variation in the same species?

Thanks

Yes, your bird is an 'Audubon's'. 'Audubon's' and 'Myrtle' warblers are generally treated as subspecies.

Actually, what I said in my previous post turns out to be misleading. I just checked the Yellow-rumped article in BNA-online– an authoritative source – which divides the species into two "groups" each comprising two or more subspecies.
Coronata group ('Myrtle Warbler'). 2 subspecies.
Auduboni group ('Audubon's Warbler'). 3 subspecies
