Active X Control on Bird Forums (1 Viewer)

Since I altered the settings on Norton Internet Security whenever I go to the BirdForum web site I get the warning "Active X Alert-Medium Risk". It then says "The Web page you are trying to view contains an Active X Control". It recommends that I block the Active X Control so I do. This does not seem to stop me reading the new posts or posting so I wonder what the Active X Control that I block actually would do. Roger

I use Firefox which does not do ActiveX. No probs reading BF.

Yep, use firefox or opera, that's what I always suggest people do.

Likewise (especially as the full, not-advert-supported version of Opera is absolutely free now), and no problems here.

As I don't get any problems either by refusing to accept Bird Forums Active X Control what is it there for, what does it do????????.
