Any comments on this possible Reed Bunting, captured by Ivaylo Kolev near Sofia a couple of days before.

Anything to add from the observer why they think it is only possible? Strong winter sun on the bill makes it look paler than it should... face seems a bit 'messy' but nothing stands out as anything else other than Reed Bunting to me from the quality of the picture.

I didn't want to influence your opinion Ian, but personally I doubt it is a Reed Bunting!

Interesting :) With that pale bill and lack of distinction of markings to the face (and assuming it is a bunting) then Corn Bunting has possibilities of course, but don't see enough breast streaking... Those markings to the coverts also have me worried a bit... are they reddish in tone, or again is that the light?
I'll see what others add now...

Cannot help Ian, sorry! If it isn't Reed Bunting what else could it be?
