getting started
i am an accomplished railroad photographer and recently have become interested in birding and bird photography. yesterday evening and some of this morning i setup my gear to capture some activity at and around my feeders.
i will have to relearn photography, my eye is clearly not sympathetic to bird photography, yet. i must say that i have seen some excellent photos that are both technically and compositionally impressive and can't imagine the work that has gone into building that skillset. having spent a few hours exploring the area of my feeders through the lens i feel like i know nothing.
is this a road i want to go down? seems the mantra might be "faster glass, faster glass"
i tip my hat to those that bring the goods.
