Small comment on meiffrenii (1 Viewer)

I am wondering why no bird contains Guillaume Michel Jérôme Meiffren de Laugier as author. E.g. in OD Circus maurus is only a Temm. but the book was published under both names. I agree that baron Meiffren de Laugiers input may minimal. But do we not have a similar example with Sephanoides sephaniodes a bird attributed to Lesson & Garnot, 1827?

"Temminck did the nomenclatorial and descriptive part of the work, while Baron Laugier took care of the administrative part of the project (Stresemann, 1951)." "Stresemann, E. 1951. Histoire des origines des ‘Planches Coloriées’ de Temminck et Laugier, L'oiseau et la revue Française d'ornithologie, 21: 33–47." Mearns and Mearns Biography for birdwatchers, says all the names are Temminck's.

Yes, I know and similar is written in Die Entwicklung der Ornithologie von Aristoteles bis zur Gegenwart from Stresemann. But if I compare the Lesson & Garnot case this was treated similar in the past that only Lesson was considered as the author. For some reason (I assume according the code) this was adjusted.
